Alice Gbandia (Housemaid) and Morrison Koroma (Tiler) stood before Magistrate Keikura of Pademba Road Court No.1 on two count charges of conspiracy to commit a felony-contrary to law and larceny in dwelling house contrary to section13a of the LA of 1926.
It was alleged that the accused persons, on Thursday 21st April 2022 at no. 20f fifth right road, juba, Freetown conspired together with other person’s unknown to commit a felony to wit larceny in dwelling house and on the same date, and same place, entered into the dwelling house of Papa Maco7mb Ndiaye (Senegalese) consultant and stole therein the sum of $9400 equivalent to Le122, 200,000/00 property of Papa Ndiaye.
Prosecution witness number One Dpc13875 Ezekiel kumba attached to the Criminal Investigation Department Cid headquarters Pademba Road Freetown as an investigator he knows the complainant in the matter and he recognized both accused persons he recalled on the 21st April 2022 whilst on duties at the said head quarter the complainant made a report that thieves entered her house and stole the sum of nine thousand four hundred United States dollars.
The matter was allocated to him for investigation when he received the report himself and Inspector Papa Kamara visited the crime scene at No.5 Wright road Juba at the crime scene.
They met the first accused person at the home and the complainant identified the room where she kept the money that was stolen at the crime scene none of the doors was broken, he saw the bag that she alleged the money was stolen.
The bag was opened and he took it as exhibit which was handed over to the exhibit clerk at this juncture the Prosecution seek for a short adjournment date.
However, Magistrate Keikura refused bail and sent both accused persons to the male and female Correctional center in Freetown matter adjourned to the 31st May 2022 for further hearing
