The Leaders and Membership of the first Baptist Church at Lebanon section in Koidu City have observed one of the Church yearly activities known as the Medical Sunday. The pastor in charge of the aforementioned Church Rev. T.P Ngaujah maintained that the objective of observing the medical Sunday every year is to know the membership strength of the Church and to also educate their members on how they should take good care of their wellbeing.
He said besides the preaching and teaching of God’s word, the first Baptist church ministries also focuses on education, Agriculture and health. In his lecturers CHO James Evan Kallie pointed out that Hypertension is on the increase in the district.
He described hypertension as an incommunicable disease and therefore urged people living with it to be going for medical treatment as it is free of cost.
Nurse Mabinty Samawaty whilst teaching about malaria pleaded with parents to ensure that their children or wards properly washed their hands after responding to nature and before eating any food. The members of the First Baptist Church at Lebanon section in Koidu City thanked the leadership of the Church for organizing such a lifesaving program and implored them not to relent as health is wealth.
