The mammy Queen of Bumpeh town in Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District, Finda Fayiah has called on authorities concern to come to the aid of her community. She told this medium that her community lacks basic amenities. She said the basic amenities are far-fetched in Bumpeh community: pure drinking water, good sanitation, dry floor, town Barray, Mosque among many others.

Madam Fayiah added that in quest of safe and pure drinking water over the years people especially women and children fines it very difficult to get except they walk miles to and fro a nearby town call  Konondu.

She further expressed dismay over the promise made by the government and other non-governmental organizations to address the water crisis in Bumpeh town till date nothing of such has taken place.

 “In the bid to remedy the said water crisis in our community we have almost used all our resources to appease those that come to us in the pretext of helping us”, Madam Fayiah.

In another development the mammy Queen of Bumpeh town further expressed dissatisfaction over the ways cattle have destroyed their garden activities due to the negligence of their owners.

She called on Chiefdom authorities to enforce the existing by-laws for cattle rearing and crop farming so that the two set of farmers will co-exist for the betterment of farming and the country as a whole.
