On Sunday 27th March 2022, the Bo Rangers Football Club hosted the FC Kallon Football Club in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League competition, which ended up in chaos between the fans and supporters of both teams.
The whole conflict emanated from a penalty awarded in favor of the Bo Rangers during the second half of play and one of the FC Kallon prayers assaulted the referee for which the said player was issued a red card, this aggravated the fans and supporters of FC Kallon to go on the rampage.
Meanwhile, a total of 24 stadium seats were forcefully damaged and thrown away by fans and supporters of FC Kallon that were occupying stand D
3 turnstiles were damaged in stand B and the VIP pavilion.
The gate leading from the VIP pavilion to the main hall of the stadium was damaged as the gate hangs from its hinges.
The door of the referee’s room, the home team dressing room was also damaged.
However, fifteen suspects were arrested for disorderly behavior, Riotous conduct, malicious damage, and throwing missiles at the Bo Stadium.
Case under investigation as the Bo Stadium Management had submitted a written report to the Police in relation to the incident that occurred on Sunday 27th March 2022, at the Bo Stadium.
Some Police Personnel were also injured by the irate fans and supporters of both teams.
