Justice A. T. Ganda of Bo High Court has on the 11th February, 2021 sentenced one Abdulai Jalloh, military Personnel to forty years in prison for manslaughter.

According to the particulars of offence that on Sunday the 24th day of March 2019 at NITTI harbor 2 in lower Banta chiefdom in the Moyamba Judicial district in the Southern Province of the Republic of Sierra Leone murder Issa Kamara.

He was charged with one count charge of murder contrary to law.

According to an eye witness in court Ibrahim Bah said the deceased (Issa Kamara) had initially complained the accused and requested a transfer to another location. In his testimony in court, the witness said he heard two gun shots, on his way; he saw someone running away from the scene and told him that the Issa Kamara (now deceased) had been shot. He immediately went to the scene and saw the accused who admitted that he had no regret of his action.

On the 28th November 2019 the accused made several appearances before Justice A. T. Ganda, during the trial six witnesses testified. The accused was represented by legal Aid Board lawyer Kabba Sei Coomber Esq. while the state was represented by Yusuf S. Koroma Esq.

However, the accused Abdulai Jalloh was found guilty of Manslaughter and was sentenced to 40yrs imprisonment. Justice Ganda stated that the defence can file in an appeal if desire.
