Yatta Kamara made another appearance before magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny Contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916
According to the particulars of offense on Wednesday 10th November 2021 at No.64 cape road Aberdeen the western area in Freetown stole one hand bag valued two hundred and fifty thousand Leones (250,000) containing a total sum of thirteen million nine hundred and sixty thousand Leones (13,960,000) all to the total value of fourteen million two hundred and ten thousand Leones (14,210,000) property of Hyda Husien Abess.
Lead in evidence by sergeant 9155 Dwight Macarthy.
Hydah Hussain Abass a business man said he recognized the accused person from a friend Kallon,
He said he recalled that on the 10th November 2021 something transpired between himself and the accused person.
He said he escorted his friend around 1pm on his way home where he met the accused person in front of his entrance and pleaded with him for financial help and she even sent him voice note that she is stranded after then he took her home and he ask her to massage him and she accept to massage him and he took his bag inside his room.
He revealed that the bag contained thirteen million nine hundred thousand leones after then he returned to the parlour for her to massage him after which he felt asleep and he woke up in the morning he didn’t find the accused person and his bag the said bag containing 40 pounds sterling and 230 dollars with one million Leones equivalent to thirteen million nine hundred thousand Leones.
The witness said he made statement at Aberdeen police station and made his report and statement was obtained from him, after that he got information about the accused person upon the information he took Keke and went to papa Clef and arrested the accused person and handed the accused person to the police station, he didn’t receive the bag and the money.
In a cross examination from the accused person, how comes I entered your Car and your house if you didn’t invited me, the witness said everybody know you including my boys, he noted.
The accused person was unrepresented whilst the complainant was represented by M.Mangor
However Magistrate Kekura adjourned the matter to the 1st February 2022 bail continues for the accused person.
