Fredo Football Club a non-Division club has on 18th January 2022 signed a Kits Sponsorship with UK based company to help the club with wears in the development of the clubs.
According to Bass Sheku Kamara the Chairman of Fredo Football Club said they have signed a Sponsorship deal with Gardi Sports wears Company that is based in the United Kingdom, the company has been contacting them for some months now but they are happy to have finally signed the deal.
He affirmed that the Contract is three years deal with Gardi Sports Wears Company to help them with the brand and for them as a club to help with training kits ranging from senior club to junior category.
He added that the Gardi Sports Wears Company is purposely to help clubs in Sierra Leone and what they need is to help their Company with Branding in Africa Sub region, he said since the signing of the contracts non-Division, Division one clubs have to contact him to help them toe package which he hopes to communicate to the Company because they aim to help rebrand clubs in Sierra Leone.
Bass Sheku Kamara said the contract is a lucrative one but the company said it should remain undisclosed for now, he said before signing the deal the club researched in Africa and Sierra Leone they think they need to start in Sierra Leone, and with Fredo Football Club a none division club that has a structure.
He further that the club has played has been engaging in too many Friendlies matches with Premier League clubs, to get the boys fit ahead of the start of Division two League season, as of now their focus now is to help them market the brand to the people of Sierra Leone. They are also looking forward to helping clubs that are financially challenged as well for them to get kits wears.
He said the Gardi Sports Company wears said they are looking to help clubs in Sierra Leone to be able to market their players to European clubs that can give good financial backing back home. The Sportswear Company has told them that the contact is not only going to stop at kits sponsorship but to also help them in terms of scouting players out of Sierra Leone. The last time two players from Fredo Football club took part in international trials in Liberia.
