Davido Remanded for Murder

David Allen ‘’alias Davido’’ made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Magistrate court no 1 in Freetown on two count charges of conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to Law and murder.

According to the particulars of offence the accused person on Sunday 24th March 2019 at Adams Street off Mountain Cut the Western Area in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit murder and on count two the accused person murdered Mohamed Umarr Karamoh Kamara ‘’alias Joe Crack’’.

First Prosecution witness (PW1) Alie Daramy Koroma. Detective corporal 11186 attached at Major Incident Unit at the Criminal Investigation Department CID Headquarters Pademba Road in Freetown. The witness said on the 24th March, 2019 at the CID Headquarters one Abdul Kamara, father of the deceased at Mountain Cut made a report on behalf of the deceased Mohamed Umarr Karamoh Kamara against the accused and others who are presently awaiting trial at the High Court.

The witness said himself and other police officer sergeant 9960 Samba J attached at the CID in the Eastern police station went to Connaught Mortuary to ascertain whether the body was there and the complainant identify the deceased lying on a stretcher having stabbed wounds.

PW1 continued in his testimony that they observed stabbed wounds on his neck, upper chest and he was motionless and they returned to the crime scene at Adams Street Mountain Cut together with inspector Bangura. At the scene, I noticed blood stain on the ground where the father identified the place of the murder, said sergeant 9960 Samba J.

Prosecution witness further more stated that they returned to the station and obtained statements from the father and other witnesses.

Second Prosecution witness (PW2) PC 13854 Kabia testifying in court handed over the kitchen knife having blood stain on it and tendered it to the exhibit clerk sergeant 4646 Sesay on 25th March 2019.

Alhassan Kamara, Santigie Bangura and Abdulrahman Dumbuya were brought to the station with sustaining injury and treated at the hospital.

On 2nd April 2019 some officers and father of the deceased witnessed the post-mortem examination of the deceased at the Connaught Mortuary done by Dr. Owizz Koroma who issued the post-mortem result of the deceased.

Tendered as exhibit A the accused was arrested on the 5th August 2019 by Detective inspector Foday Borbor attached at the eastern police CID sector.

The charge statement of the accused person was produced and tendered in court and marked as exhibit C1-3.

However, the accused person was sent to the male correctional centre in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 24th January 2022.

Inspector Kadie Taylor and Police constable 15152 Turay H.B prosecuting the matter and has been adjourned to the 20th January 2022.
