Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation has disbursed Sixty Million Leones in the form of a loan with zero interest to the Aberdeen Women Association on Saturday 15th January 2022 at its headquarter Juba Hill in Freetown.

When giving the keynote address, Lamin Bah the Global Board Chairman of Lamin and Kadie Foundation felt grateful for the proactive nature of the Aberdeen Women in welcoming such opportunity that which is the provision of Sixty Million Leones to twenty-five women in the Aberdeen Community.

He mentioned that for Sierra Leone to be successful in due time, women have to take the lead as a result to their amazing hardworking prowess in terms of making money and providing education to their children.

Lamin Bah urged the women to change their mindset and believe that there is nothing like poverty and nobody is poor; adding that the Aberdeen women should try as much as they can, as the capacity of their strength is to make a massive profit within six months.

He said that unity always makes an exemplary different in every neighbourhood. ‘’love yourself and go out there, motivate us not just for the money but for the togetherness you have stated to show, ’Lamin Bah said.

Kadie Bah, Global President for Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation welcomed the Aberdeen Women to the first phase of their project as she remains firm and strongly believes in the output of the Aberdeen Women through entrepreneurship and profit making.

She admonished the beneficiaries of the project to continue to work harder in their various home by bringing out the necessary provision to their family.

Kadie Bah said the Lamin and Kadie Foundation is here to stay and would constantly work in helping majority of Sierra Leonean women through micro credit, mentorship, entrepreneurship and education.

She stated that the loan is gear towards improving and advancing the livelihood of the women in the Aberdeen Community. Noting that the said loan does carry any form of interest rate. ‘’there is no money that cannot start a business,’’ Kadie Bah said.

She revealed that this is just the beginning of a joyful and long lasting relationship between the Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation and the women in Aberdeen as well as Sierra Leone in large extend.

Abraham Bah, the Country Director of Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation said the foundation believe in giving training and mentorship to women in business by offering the possibility of helping them grow, but the based-line survey has not found this to be effective.

He said owing to the impact of the survey; it is as a result the foundation introduces the zero interest loans in advancing women’s economic empowerment.

Abraham Bah disclosed that there is no surprise that the Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation empowering of women is recognized as a foundation building block in achieving the sustainable development goals, including the eradication of poverty across communities.

He said ‘’through our partnership with Grantee Trust Bank (GTB) we have open savings accounts for all the twenty-five approved beneficiaries.’’

Mohamed Bundu Koroma, Consultant of Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation said this project serves as a way of changing the narrative about the livelihood of women into an exhilarating fashion for the benefit of the Aberdeen Women.

He urged the women to use the money well by investing it into a profitable business and later make a pay back.

Alhaji Sulaiman Bah, Board Chairman for Sierra Leone said the mainly focus of Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation captures on health, education, empowerment and mentorship.

He pleaded to the women to use the money diligently by focusing on their business thereby at the end of the project there would be some positive improvement.

Sia Augusta Ngaujah, Project Beneficiary appreciated the good gesture from the Lamin and Kadie Bah Foundation especially by providing such a blessed project in the form of loan.

She said they would not disappoint the facilitators of the foundation; and that this money is an opportunity for them of which it would bring roasted smiles on their face
