Over alleged theft: Supervisor, Business Man Behind Bars

57yrs old Alpha Kandeh Luseni Bangura a Ramp Supervisor and 41yrs old Salieu Thaimu Kamara a business man made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916 and Receiving stolen goods contrary to section 33 (1) of the Larceny Act, 1916

According to the particulars of offence on Sunday the 14th November 2021 the first accused person, at the Lungi international Airport in the Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom, in the Port Loko judicial district in Freetown Stole assorted Mobile phones valued six hundred and twenty four million five hundred thousand Leones(624,500,000) property of Mohamed Conteh whilst in custody of Brussels Airline on count two the second accused person received two pieces of iPhone 13 pro-Max valued Forty million Leones(40,000,000) Knowing same to have been stolen property of Mohamed Conteh.

Counsel representing the first accused person applied for bail for and on behalf of the first accused person pursuant to section 79 3 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965 the first accused person is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction, he is not a flight risk he has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on his behalf, he will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses he will not jumped bail and he has spent thirty day at the Criminal Investigation Department Cid headquarters he referred the court to the bail regulations rule 2 and 3 2018.

Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent both accused persons to the male correctional center in Freetown matter adjourned to the 18th January 2022. Detective Superintendent of police Isatu Gbassy Fofanah prosecuting the Matter.
