Joseph Morgan made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Magistrate court no 1 in Freetown on 1 count charge of Perverting the cause of Justice contrary to Law.
According to the particulars of offence the accused person on a date between Tuesday 14th and Friday 17th December 2021 at Eastern Police the Western Area in Freetown perverted the cause of public justice by means of failing to produce Dwine Leone at the Eastern Police Station in Freetown as a surety for the said Dwine Leone being investigated for the offence obtaining goods by false pretences.
The Defence Counsels E. Koroma, M. Rashid renewed his previous application for bail for and on behalf of he accused person. However, Magistrate Sahr Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of One Hundred Million Leone (Le100, 000) or one surety in like sum.
The surety must be an elderly person. The surety should produce an employment letter of the said institution. The surety should be a resident of Freetown and must produce a valid identity card status to be verified by the bench and proof that the surety is a resident of Freetown and to be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar (DAR).
Inspector Kadie Taylor prosecuting and matter adjourned to the 20th January 2022.
