Augustus Kargbo, who plays in Italy for F.C Crotone has been asked to replace Alhassan Koroma to join the 28 man squad in the upcoming AFCON competition in Cameroun.
Alhassan Koroma, according to the release from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) states that the Spanish based winger has been ruled out of the Leone Stars squad due to hamstring injury sustained.
Meanwhile, the Sierra Leone Football Association has requested for Augustus Kargbo who plays his professional football in Italy to replace him.
FC Crotone star Kargbo was one of the players recently placed on the standby list by the technical staff in case of a possible replacement after release of the final 28-man squad.
Injury blow to Alhassan means the twin brothers will be both missing the AFCON tournament in Cameroon after his brother Alusine who was among the 40-man provisional squad failed to make it into Coach Keister’s final 28-man list.
