Leone Rock Metal Group Company Limited, parent body of Kingho Mining Company Limited in Tonkolili and Kingho Railway and Port Company in Pepel town has on the 20th December, 2021 between Wednesday the 15th and Friday the 17th December 2021 doled out consignment of food supplements to its direct operational and rail corridor communities.
The series of events which took place in the various chiefdoms headquarter of Sambaia, Simiria, Dansogoia and Tane in Tonkolili Districts and the entire rail corridor communities as well as the port town of Pepel in Kamasondo Chiefdom, Port Loko District; were form of the company’s gesture to extend its Christmas goodies to indigenes in its direct impact operation communities.
It is worth noting that in all of the donation exercises, stakeholders in the various communities thanked the management of Leone Rock Metal Group for always coming in handy and providing support to the communities whenever needed. They commended the company on its strategy in relating to their various communities and assured of their fullest cooperation in supporting the company towards actualizing its visions and aspirations.
The Christmas donation comes just few months ago when the company did similar donation for Muslims during the latter stages of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The exercise according to the management of the company is to build on the religious tolerance of Sierra Leone and to support communities in celebrating the birth of Christ.
Meanwhile, the donation comprises bags of rice, onions, cooking oil and a Christmas basket for each of the Paramount Chiefs.
In another event, Kingho Mining Company Limited officially handed over roundabout and 100 new benches to Mabonthor Town, Simiria Chiefdom. Notebooks and other learning and teaching materials were also presented as a boost to education in the chiefdom.
