Murray Town Football Foundation Football club has on 12th December 2021 Crowned as Champion of the Millamac Football Foundation Inter-Community League at the Siaka Stevens Stadium.
The final started in a pace way as both teams try hard for the opening goal, Ibrahim Kamara of Carlton Community got the opening goal for his side after ten minutes of play, but that was later canceled by the defending champion Murray Town Foundation who got a penalty deep into the first half that was converted by their in-form striker Melvin Kamara that level it for the first half.
After the recess, both teams were active in front of goal, but Melvin Kamara got his second goal deep into the second half as the goal changed the score line to two goals to one, (2-1) but the Community continue to fight back for a goal to level terms but the solids defense of Murray Town Foundation we’re did not give a breathing space to Carlton Community.
According to the head coach of Murray Town F.C, Abu Bakarr Turay said he was happy to see his Community won the trophy back to back; because he had instill confidence in his players that anytime the team they need to fight back to get historic comeback in the game.
He further expresses appreciation to the traveling fans and the community members for supporting their team Murray Town Foundation.
Joyce Warritay the coordinator of Carlton Community said they felt disappointed for losing the finals to their bitter Rivals; they could have killed the finals if they have taken their chances.
He said this is their first final in the Competitions but they will go and prepare for the next year, thanks to all the fans that travels to support the teams we appreciate their supports.
Trophies and medals where given to both teams.
