The Sierra Leone Association of the Blind (SLBA) Boroma 38 Moindefeh section branch in Koidu City, Kono District has embarked on massive agricultural activities in the district.
The Secretary General of the association Peter Sahr Lamina told our correspondent that the rationale behind the said agricultural activities is for them to completely stay off from street begging thus provide food and other basic necessities for themselves and their family members.
He pointed out that the members of the association are challenged with food, transportation and working equipment for the ongoing agricultural activities in the municipality of Koidu and Kono District as a whole.
SLAB Boroma 38 Moindefeh Section Branch Secretary General further pleaded with the Government of Sierra Leone including non- governmental organizations for the provision of food, transportation and working equipment in order to actualise their objective of making street begging completely the thing of the past.
