The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), a global community constituted by Representatives of National Assemblies or Parliaments across the world has on 30/11/2021 appointed Sierra Leone’s Hon. Edward George as President of Young Parliamentarians at its 143rd Assembly in Madrid, Spain.
Following his remarkable contributions at the IPU over the years, Hon. Edward George has attracted huge admiration and respect among his peers. These phenomenal contributions have resulted in his recognition and appointment as President of Young Parliamentarians embodying the Forum of Young Parliamentarians in Sierra Leone.
Sequel to the correspondence received from the IPU, the following message was conveyed:

Hon. Edward George is a Member of Parliament representing Constituency 097 in Moyamba District under the banner of governing Sierra Leone People’s Party in the Parliament of Sierra Leone. He is friendly and a dynamic Member of Parliament who reaches out to Staff and Members of Parliament across the aisle in Parliament.
