33yrs old Michaela Ruth Dunyqueh made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges of Conspiracy contrary to law and Embezzlement contrary to section 17 (1) (b) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on a date unknown between March and September 2021 at No.1 Wilberforce Street the western area in Freetown fraudulently embezzled the sum of four hundred and two million two hundred and fifty-two million Leones (402,252,000) received by her from an account of the BENCO Trading Limited Fresh Shop.
The charges was read to the accused person and pleaded not guilty.
The accused person was represented by I. Bangura and Charlie Israel Williams. I. Bangura Esq applied for bail on behalf of the accused person that she is a Sierra Leonean ordinarily resident within this jurisdiction that she has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on her behalf and she is not a flight risk nor will she interfere with prosecution witnesses he made his application pursuant to section 79 (2) of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965.
However, Magistrate Keikura granted the accused person bail in the sum of five hundred million Leones or two sureties in like sum both sureties must be resident in the western area in Freetown the said sureties should produce their identity cards bearing their addresses in Freetown one of the sureties must be gainfully employed from a recognized institution bail to be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar.
Assistant Superintendent of police Ibrahim Mansaray prosecuting the matter and has been adjourned to the 8th December 2021.
