In continuation of their commitment to help promote education in the country, the Golden Heart Sisters Foundation,(GHSF) has over the weekend partied with pupils of the District Education Community (DEC) primary school at Makolo Songo.

Making a brief statement before the program kicks off, the coordinator of Golden Heart Sisters Foundation, Madam Patricia Yvette Owusu said this year marks the third year they are celebrating with pupils of the school which according to her is their baby project.

Madam Owusu said the foundation has been supporting the school with teaching and learning materials which are the dire needs of the pupils.

She also stated that they have tried this best to make sure the pupils enjoy conducive learning environment by providing tables and chairs with the foundation initials on them.

Speaking as to why they organized such party every year, Madam Owusu said the entire process is a tradition to make the pupils happy and get the spirit to learn more in order for them to become a source of light to their families and the nation.

She further disclosed that this years celebration is done in a grand style because, apart from  feeding the pupils, they also bring along packages including  used clothing, shoes and cooking condiments to appreciate teachers for their effort in educating the pupils.

“God is really showing his mercy in this school because anytime we come with support, he provides more to fulfil our next target”, Madam Owusu stated with smile.

She concluded by thanking her husband in UK, Mr. Owisu and his partners for sending the use clothings to distribute to the teachers.

Receiving the items from the cordinator of Golden Heart Sisters Foundation, the head teacher of DEC primary School, Mr. Tommy Kamboi Momoh appreciated them on behalf of teachers the good gesture.

He said they are delighted because GHSF is the first organisation which interventions always consider the teachers, an idea which according to him, lack on other organizations.

“I pray for God to bless you with more funds so that you can help us to rehabilitate the school which is on the brink of dilapidation”, the head teacher stated.
