Sierra Leone Single Leg Amputee team has on Sunday 28th November 2021 thrashed Uganda by three goals to nil (3-0) in the first match in the single leg amputee nation’s cup hosted in Tanzania.
Gassy Koroma opened the scores for Sierra Leone and James Lumeh is the only Professional amputee player in the Sierra Leone team and he scored a brace, and he is based in Turkey, the two goals scored wrap up first three points in the Tournament for Sierra Leone.
Pastor Abraham Bangura, the head coach of the Sierra Leone single-leg amputee team expressed delight for registering their first win in the tournament and hope that the boys will continue to showcase their qualities so that Sierra Leone will be proud of them.
“It is a good result for us we are proud of the performance the boys displaced here today, getting a comfortable Victory in this match, and has sent a signal to the other countries that we are to challenge for the Trophy,” Coach Bangura said
Sierra Leone will be engaging Morocco in their next on the 29th of November 2021 at the same Venue.
According to Albert Mustapha the Coordinator of the Sierra Leone Single Amputee team said the team is determined and ready to represent their country Sierra Leone.
