PRESIDENT BIO COMMISSIONS DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS IN BOMBALI

President Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio has officially commissioned solar bore hole water well of fifteen taps, community centers, a refurnished Mosque and Church including  Solar lighting system in Mamankie Village, Bombali Shebora Chiefdom Bombali district. Delivering his keynote address to mark the official commissioning of these key accomplished developmental projects at Mamankie village in Bombali district, president Bio underscored his government’s commitment in bringing developments at the door steps of the people in rural communities in the country. The people of Mamankie deserve to have developments like any other places in the country president Bio noted.

He emphasized that his government is enthusiastic and aimed at bringing developments to every part of the country irrespective of district or region should the funds are available. According to president Bio, the “one people one country” slogan calls for national unity and togetherness that could help to foster development in the country.

He spoke about the negative impact of COVID-19 global pandemic which has affected most of the developments agenda of his government which according to him, his government is still making frantic steps in moving towards the development of the country and equally restored international recognition and respect for the country. President Bio also pinpointed on the government believes in the Human capital development. “If our country can stand as a nation it must invest in the education of the children and my Government has introduced the free and quality education including the payment of school fees and external examination fees for the pupils in all schools categories president Bio mentioned. He called on parents to support the education of their children.

The paramount chief of Bombali Shebora chiefdom in Bombali District PC Bai Kassara Shebora   II on behalf of the people of the chiefdom and the rest of his colleagues paramount chiefs thanked President Bio for bringing developments at Mamankie and its neighboring villages through the lobbying of their son Professor Philip John Kanu that these legacies will remain indelible foot prints for people of Mamankie. The Principal and Vice Chancellor designate of the University Education and Technology who doubles as son of the soil (Mamankie) applauded President Bio for his passion towards the development of the country among which the people of Mamankie are beneficiaries. He also thanked the President for the approval of several kilometers of feeder roads construction through National Commission for Social Action (NACSA) while the chairman of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) Bombali District Alhaji Mohamed Mogambo Saffia expressed similar sentiment of thanking president Bio for taking developments to rural areas while pleading with the president for his government to do more for the people of Bombali District.
