23yrs old Idrissa Sow made his first appearance before Magistrate Hadiru K Daboh of Ross Road Court No.3 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence that on Saturday 6th November, 2021 K-Step Calaba Town in the western area in Freetown, stole by trick one Techno POP4 Mobile phone valued one million two hundred thousand Leones (1,200,000) property of Fatmata Kamara.
The charges was read to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty, while Sergeant 8967 Margai J prosecuting the matter.
The accused person was unrepresented and was refused bail. Matter has been adjourned to the 25th November 2021.
In another news, Abdulai Massaquoi made his first appearance before Magistrate Hadiru K Daboh of Ross Road Court No.3 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Fraudulent conversion contrary to section 20 (i) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 5th October 2021 at Beccle Street Wellington the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to your own use or benefit certain property that is to say five cylinder head valued two million five hundred thousand Leones (2,500,000) and one 99 amp vehicle battery valued eight hundred thousand Leones (800,000) all to the total Sum of three million three hundred thousand Leones (3,300,000) entrusted to him by Alpha Umaru Jalloh for the purpose of safe keeping.
The charge was read to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty, and the accused person was unrepresented, while Sergeant 8534 Gibrilla Sesay is prosecuting the matter.
Bail was refused and the matter adjourned to the 29th November 2021.
