7 in court on alleged Trespass

Mustapha Sesay, Alpha Jalloh, Ngadie Jalloh, Baby Sesay and three others made their first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on six count charges to wit Trespass contrary to section 15 (1) (a) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965, Public insult and provocation contrary to section 3 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965, insulting conduct contrary to Section 3 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965, Abusive language contrary to section 3 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965, intimidation contrary to section 4 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965 and threatening language contrary to section 3 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965

According to the charge sheet on the date 12th to 13th July 2021 at 51 Bismarck Johnson Street the western area in Freetown unlawfully entered use provocation words, and threatening her in annoying manner upon the premises of Kadiatu Jalloh to commit the breach of the peace.

The charges was read to the accused persons and pleaded not guilty.

 Lawyer Joseph M. Amara applied for bail on behalf of all the accused persons that they are Sierra Leoneans most particularly residents within his jurisdiction and they have reliable sureties who are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on their behalf that are not a flight risk nor will they interfere with prosecution witness.

After counsel application Lawyer S Will applied for bench warrant for the absent defendant and it was granted.

Magistrate Peter Gogra granted all accused persons bail in the sum of five million Leones each or two sureties each the sureties should provide identity cards bearing their addresses in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar the matter was adjourned to the 4th November 2021.
