Orthodox Football club will on Saturday 9th October 2021 lock on with bitter rivals FC Kallon Junior at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in the Western Area Football Association U-15 searching for Stars finale.
The two teams faced each other in the opening ceremony in a tight contest during the Group stage as FC Kallon Junior lost by a goal to nil at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy in Kingtom. The final will be the third meetings as Orthodox Football club have won the two previous meetings, the first was in a friendly encounter where Orthodox Football club trash them by four goals to nil.
According to Serry Turay the head coach of Orthodox Football club said they approach match with high spirit and determination, while the final will be an exception as they have huge respect for their opponent and ready to face them for the third time in a role.
“Am confident that my team is going to lift the trophy because we are very tactical team and have a physical approach as well but we going to look at weakness of the opponent and to make use of their errors and win”, said Coach Turay.
He encouraged and called on the fans of Orthodox Football club to storm the Siaka Stevens Stadium on 9th October to cheer up the team.
While the head coach for FC Kallon, Martha Conteh said her team is well prepared for the crunch tie against Orthodox Football club, ‘football fans know us to produce young players and have strong philosophy that the young shall grow and we have always being working towards it developing the young players for National teams.
She added that “we will not force our players to win at all coast, but we want to see if what they have learnt during their training can be implemented it in the field of play.
She further that the first defeat we suffer from them was in a friendly encounter when most of our players were not available.
