BO RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB HELD TO A GOALLESS DRAW WITH MIGHTY BLACKPOOL

BO RANGERS Football club was on Friday 24th September 2021 held  to a goalless draw at the Siaka Stevens Stadium with a boring match coupled with poor officiating.

BO Rangers Football club head Coach, Jose Salomon Cortes made only one change to his starting lineup replacing Joseph Harding for Sembu Kargbo.

While Might Blackpool Football Club head coach, Mohamed Doco Kamara made four chances from the squad that held Old Edwardian to a (1-1) draw.

The match had a slow start in the first half with both sides failing to create clear cut chances, the host Mighty Blackpool went close to break the dead lock when Edward Yillah failed to covert possible chance in the 26 minutes in the first half of play.

The Rangers inform wingers, Prince Barrie and Alusine Kamara struggled to impress in the match that led the coach to replace Alusine Kamara for Momoh Conteh in the midfield; however the change had no impact.

Musa Noah Kamara who is now the highest goal scorer in the league with six goals was unable to pull the trigger that was expected of him, due to a well-disciplined defense from Mighty Blackpool. Kamara in match was seen dropping into the midfield to fend to himself.

Head coach of BO Rangers, Jose Salomon Cortes said the result was not a welcome one due to a disappointing performance from his team as they failed to make use of their chances. He urged the fans to continue their supports and they go back to the drawing board to prepare for their next match against Anti-Drugs Football club in BO mini Stadium.

Whereas the head coach of Mighty Blackpool, Mohamed Doco Kamara said “am disappointed with the way the officials officiated this match, because we had a clear penalty, but it was not awarded reasons best known to them.”

Since the commencement of the League, BO Rangers Football club have recorded poor away wins against teams like Old Edwardian, Wusum Stars Football club and FC Kallon, and now Blackpool.

The Rangers will play their next match without Captain Morie Alie after he was sent off in the (90) minutes against Mighty Blackpool; but will be available to play against Mount Aureole SLIFA on Wednesday the 6th October 2021.
