SLFA President Testifies in Impersonation Case

Sierra Leone Football Association President, Thomas Daddy Brima, has made his on the 23rd September, 2021 made his first appearance before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker at the Pademba Road Magistrate court to testify in a case of impersonation of one Hassan Sesay ‘Banya’.

Witness said in his brief testimony that the accused came to his office sometimes back purporting to be a staff of State House requesting that he should instruct one of his staff to give him fuel, but was denied.

The witness said he made further inquiries at State House to ascertain whether the said accused is a staff of the above institution. It was confirmed that he was impersonating. The witness said immediately he alerted the Police; later the accused started asking for mercy when he saw the Police.

The accused is charged on three count charges of personation Contrary to Section 3 of the Personation and Uniform Ordinance Cap 34 of 1905 as amended by Sub Section 4-5 of the Personation and Uniform Amendment Act No. 13 of 1975. According to the indictment, the accused Hassan Sesay on the 15 September 2021, at Sierra Leone Football Association Academy Kingtom, Freetown, purported to be a staff at State House which is known to be false.

 Inspector Marie Maco Sesay is Prosecuting the matter.

When the charge was read to the accused he pleaded not guilty; and no legal representative for the accused and matter adjourned to the 1 October 2021.
