We live in a patriarchal system, a disoriented, disdained organized facet of humans living amongst us and they have corrupted the system to soothe their foolish acts.

Corruption for me is an epitome of beauty. It attracts an exciting but pleasurable wild feeling at first glance, that’s how corruption is.

Just as beauty is accessible everywhere that’s how corruption is accessible from our politicians even to the man in the streets.

Corruption is constant in the society and occurs in all civilizations. However, it has different shapes, as well as many various effects both on the economy and the society at large. Among the most common causes of corruption are the political and economic environment, professional ethics and morality and of course habits, traditions, customs and demography.

The word corruption is derived from the Latin word “Corruptus” which means “corrupted” and in legal terms the abuse of a trusted position in one of the branches of power (executive, legislative and judicial)or political or other organizations with the intention of obtaining material benefit which is not legally justified for itself or others.

Corruption is in fact, a multi directional process. On one hand, the provider benefits, on the other hand the recipients and both are aware of the deed that remains hidden. The third link in the chain is everyone’s.

the earliest records of corruption date back to the thirteen century BC, to the time of the Assyrian civilization from the found plates, written in cuneiform, the archeologist managed to discern how and who accepted bribes.

Corruption destroys the legitimacy of the state.

Patriarchy is an analytical concept referring to a system of political, social, and economic relations and institutions structured around the gender inequality of socially defined men and women.

Within patriarchal system or relations women are excluded from full participation in political and economic life. Those attributes are seen as ‘feminine’ pertaining to women who undervalued. It structures both private and public spheres with men dominating both domestic and public life.

Patriarchal structure has been rooting in the society.

According to a WHO report, there is link between growing up in a patriarchal society and a higher risk of mental health issues among women.
