It is a glad tiding from the diplomatic mission of President Bio to Turkey based on commitment from The President of Turkey, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan to invest in Sierra Leone in the not too distant future. This is an outcome of a private bilateral meeting between the two Presidents.
Deatails of what such investments and bilateral agreement will produce in tangible terms are yet to be disclosed.
This Ankara meeting has thus cemented relationship between the two countries. First lady Fatima Bio was in attendance and she is said d to have also exerted her influence in attracting some form of assistance from the office of the First Lady in Turkey to enhance her project in Hands Off Our Girls project.
According to post from Presidential Adie Yusuf Keketoma SandyL “It could be recalled that last year, under the joint leadership of H.E Dr. Julius Maada Bio and H.E Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Sierra Leone and Turkey signed Cooperation Agreements on Visas, Education, Defence and the Exemption of Double Taxation.”
