Thirty-nine years old Leslie Wilson made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Obtaining money by false pretence contrary to section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on a date between the 1st March to 30th May 2023 at No.19 Nicole Terrace Wellington the Eastern area in Freetown with intent to defraud obtained the sum of eight thousand Leones from Muctarr Deen Koroma by falsely pretending that he has one room and palour self-contain apartment toilet knowing same to be false.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person in the dock, he pleaded guilty.
The accused person was unrepresented by a legal representative and he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
The prosecutor told the court that fact as charge there are no available records against the accused person.
Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person, Magistrate Gogra sentenced him to three months imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown Inspector Musu Edna Kpulun is prosecuting the matter.
