A 23-year-old unemployed man, Lamin Mansaray, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Facility by Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on a charge of housebreaking and larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, on Saturday, 16 May 2026, at #93 Wilkinson Road in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused allegedly, with intent to steal, broke and entered the dwelling house of Adama Nourah Ngobeh and stole one Samsung air conditioner, six bags of charcoal, and one rubber chair, all valued at Le12,550, property of the said complainant.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken as the matter is at the committal stage of proceedings.

The prosecutor, Sergeant 8811 Florence M. Wilson, applied for a subpoena to be issued to secure the attendance of an absent prosecution witness.

Magistrate Fornah refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 2 July 2026 for further hearing.
