20yrs old Mary Sesay and 25yrs old John Bangura a Masoner made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Conspiracy contrary to law and Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 18th July 2022 at Bonga Town off Wilkinson road Lumley the western area in Freetown conspired conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit Larceny on count two at the same place and date the the accused persons Stole the sum of four thousand seven hundred and fifty Leones (4,750) one Tecno pop 5 mobile phone valued one thousand five hundred Leones (1,500) and six pairs of assorted crep valued four hundred and ten thousand Leones (410) three suit materials rapper valued three hundred and twenty thousand Leones (320) one mukay slippers valued one hundred and fifty thousand Leones (150) thirteen assorted tissue valued seventy five Leones (75) all to the total sum of seven thousand two hundred and five Leones property of Adama Mansaray.
The charges were read and explained to the accused persons and they pleaded not guilty on their first appearance.
After seven adjournments the accused persons decided to change their plea to guilty on the 30th September 2022.
However, Magistrate Gogra sentenced the accused persons to two weeks imprisonment including the time spent in prison on their first appearance in court on the 15th August 2022.
