Twenty-three years old Benjamin Okeke a pupil made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 25th September 2023 at No.15 Vincent drive malama Lumley did steal one cross bag value one hundred and fifty Leones (150), one waist bag valued one hundred Leones (100) and physical cash of four thousand Leones all to the total sum of four thousand two hundred and fifty Leones (4,250) property of Elizabeth Ram Nallo.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay told the Magistrate that the fact as charge there is no available records against the accused person
The accused person was unrepresented by legal representative, he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person Magistrate Gogra sentenced the accused person to twelve months imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay prosecute the matter.
