A youth identified as Joselyn Manley was on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, remanded by Magistrate Sao Mamakoh Kallon of the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 3 for allegedly stealing property valued at over ten thousand new Leones from Sky Vision College located at Wilberforce, Freetown.
Manley appeared before the court on a single count charge of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the charge sheet, the accused, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Sky Vision College, allegedly stole two surface water pumps valued at five thousand new Leones, a generator battery worth four thousand five hundred and fifty-seven new Leones, and other assorted items. The total value of the stolen property was ten thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven new Leones. These items were reportedly under the care of Eric Sam King at the time of the incident.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused in court, no plea was taken.
The prosecutor, ASP Kamara, requested an adjournment, stating that he had only just received the case file and needed time to review it.
Magistrate Kallon granted the request and remanded the accused at the Male Correctional Facility. The matter was adjourned to August 11, 2025, for further hearing.
