This highly anticipated match was seen as a pivotal moment in the title race, with Bai Bureh Warriors boasting an unbeaten record that solidified their reputation as one of the league’s most consistent teams this season.
From the start, Wusum Stars exhibited tactical discipline and determination. In other matches, Freetonians SLIFA fell to FC Kallon 3-1 at the SLFA Academy field. Bainous Bangura put the hosts ahead early, but FC Kallon responded with goals from Sallieu Tarawallie and two from Momoh Lapo Dumbuya to secure the win.
At the Approved Schools field, Old Edwardians FC claimed three points against Luawa FC, with two goals from James Jusu Kanga ensuring a crucial victory after a disappointing previous outing against Port Authority FC.
