WUSUM Stars Go Head-Head With FC Kallon Today In SLPL

Wusum Stars Football will today welcome bitter rival FC Kallon at the Wusum field in a rescheduled match of the Sierra Leone Premier League.

Wusum Stars are going into this match after poor successive match results in their last matches in the Sierra Leone Premier League, while FC Kallon has enjoyed eight matches unbeaten in the league and a win for them will see them close the gap on league leaders BO Rangers.

Mohamed Papa Bangura the Secretary General of Wusum Stars said the team is well prepared for the crunch tie against FC Kallon and the boys are in high spirits to take on their counterpart in a match that is more pivotal in their fight in the relegation battle. Noting that the team has been in intensive training to put tactics and skills together as they will face one the most structured teams in the Country.

“We know the side we are playing; we have huge respect for them but are confident that the boys are much ready to grab the desire three points and keep on the fight for survival from the regulation battle though we have seen a poor performance of the team in the first round of the league, confident that come for the second rounds people are going to see something different from the team” he confirmed.

 He called on all fans of Wusum Stars to storm the Wusum field and support the team to Victory against FC Kallon.

Tunde Scott the General Manager of FC Kallon said the team is in high spirits and they are well prepared to take on Wusum Stars at home at the Wusum Field, noting that the current technical team is working tirelessly to get the right squad that will face Wusum Stars Football club and we going there for nothing less.

He affirmed that the club is working hard to fight for the championship trophy and there is a huge chance of that because they are currently behind the league leaders by seven points and a win against Wusum Stars will close the gap.  Noting that the club trip to Italy is to market players and bring in fresh players from the Division One team to the senior sides and as things stand (8) of those players have been eye by agents and their documentation process is ongoing if such out the public will know about their sales and the respective clubs they have joined.

Tunde Scott called on the fans of FC Kallon to turn out numbers and support their team as the boys are back to fight for the Premier League title.

Today again at the Government trade center field East End Tigers will host Lamboi FC in another rescheduled fixture, both teams are going into this match with great expectations of grabbing all three points but the (90) minutes will have to decide who is going to win.

According to the Media Committee member, the second round of the Premier League will commence on the 15th of this month across the Country and the fixtures will be out soon.
