WUSUM STARS FOOTBALL CLUB RESCUED A POINT AGAINST FC KALLON AT HOME

Wusum Stars Football club on Tuesday 5th May 2021 at the Wusum Stadium in Makeni rescued a vital point against FC Kallon football club, after taken the early goal in the first half of play as FC Kallon came from a goal down to settled for a (1-1) all.

Following their first premier league match of the season against RSLAF that ended in a goalless draw, the Match against FC Kallon gave cause for  analysis to  predict in favor of Fc Kallon, it was rather unfortunate that the Wusum Stars boys proved them wrong despite three starting players on their side were absent as a result of injury.

The Captain Saidu Mansaray (Malian) put Wusum Stars in front in the second half of the match from the sport kick, but his goal was not enough to secure the three point after the young lad from FC Kallon Philip A Conteh (Nasri) level the score line one all with a brilliant finish that sent goal keeper Afaley in the wrong way. The young sensational midfielder joined FC Kallon on a season long loan from Real mark Football club a division one team in the Western Area.

The Wusum stars Captain and goal scorer Mansaray was awarded the MAN OF MATCH for his outstanding performance.

Meanwhile, Wusum Stars will play their first away match against FC JOHANSEN at the Sheka Steven Stadium on Sunday May 9th 2021.

In the other Match at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium Port Authority played to a (1-1) all draw against Bai Bureh Warriors of Port Loko both goals came in the first half of play, but in the second half Port Authority came very close to get the all three points but the solid defence work of Bai Bureh Warriors prevented them the chance to grabbed all three points.

Bai Bureh Warriors got a red card deep in the second half as one of the strikers was sent off for a serious challenge against Port Authority player.

According to the Agina Sesay the head coach of Port Authority, he said his boys were not up to task in the match even though they were one man advantage they cannot capitalizes on it, but they will go home and prepared for their next fixture’s as 32 more matches to play, they have played four matches three draws and one defeat

While Abdul Minus the head coach of Port Loko Football, said he feels happy to secure a point against their opponent, even though they came for a win which they were unable to secure but felt satisfied with his team, but the red card he said  caused them a greatly. They will prepare for their next fixture against Central Parade this coming Sunday.

At the Siaka Stevens Stadium Old Edwardian played to a (1-1) all draw against East End Tigers Football club as both goals came in the second half of play. Both teams have now played three matches, but yet to secure a point.
