Rev. Sahr James who also doubles as a senior teacher at the Koidu secondary school in Kono district has said on a good governance radio program ‘NEWS Review’ on radio new song FM 91.3 that a worst civilian government is far better than the best military government .

The man of God and teacher made the statement whilst reviewing on the program NEWS REVIEW issues among others the former police officer chief superintendent of police Mohamed Turay alias ‘Yete Yete’ in police custody in Liberia for alleged attempted coup in the country.

According to him coup d’etats are not the possible solutions to the problems of any country and therefore condemn the alleged attempted coup that was reportedly stage managed by the former chief superintendent of police Mohamed Turay including other officers who presently on the run due to the ongoing police investigation into the said alleged attempted coup.

Rev. Sahr James and the other guests on the program maintained that, the dismissal of former chief superintendent of police Mohamed Turay from the Sierra Leone police force in 2020 cannot be unconnected with the partisan role he might have played while executing his constitutional duty as a police officer, noting the allegation of him and other officers stage managing the reported attempted coup cannot be allegedly far from the truth.

Rev. James and his colleague guests on News Review program strictly warned both the military and police officers to be professional by knowing their duties from partisan politics.

They further warned security personnel not to dance to the tune of politicians to stage coup d’etats as most coup d’etats is politically motivated. The guests on News Review program craved on the indulgence of those investigating the matter to do justice to it so that precedent will be set to avoid the reoccurrence of such menace in the country.

Meanwhile, police sources say the Liberia government has long since extradited the former chief superintendent of the Sierra Leone police whilst at least three other officers believed to be part of the reported attempted coup who have been declared wanted by the Sierra Leone police are still on the run and police investigation into the matter continues…
