A man who is believed to be a member of the Bakers Association in Kono District is reported to have assaulted a woman in Kania community Koidu City for selling a loaf of bread two thousand Leones instead of two thousand five hundred Leones.
Chief Abdulai Sahr Karim is the Chief of the aforementioned community, when talking to A-Z, he maintained that whilst away from the community he received a distress call that there was a problem in his community and that his presence was highly needed if not the problem will degenerate to loss of life.
Chief Karim pointed out that upon his arrival he saw mammoth of people at his place complaining how a Fulani man has assaulted a woman because she was selling a loaf of bread two thousand Leones instead of two thousand five hundred Leones.
According to Chief Abdulai Sahr Karim after hearing the report from the mammoth of people, he advised that such matter should be reported to the police station for further investigation which he did together with others present and a medical paper was issued to the assaulted women.
Meanwhile, in an interview with the assaulted woman Sarata Fabriga she noted that after coming from the hospital on that fateful day a boy went to her place nothing that some people wanted to talk to her at the junction where she normally transacts business. I later told the boy that I was coming after changing the dress I had but he came for the second time stressing that those he sent were about to go away with the loaves of bread she was selling at the Kaniaya junction.
She added that upon her arrival she saw those who sent the boy to call her carting away with her business and that in the bid to take back from them her loaves of bread one of the man that called on her who prior to that time had assaulted her noting that he was going to jail her. “He slapped and fought me like any of his counterpart”, the woman cried,
Asked to know why she was assaulted Sarata Fabriga said she was assaulted for the simple reason of selling a loaf of bread at two thousand Leones instead of two thousand five hundred Leones.
She thanked the Kania community Chief and some of her collegue residents of there said community for rescuing her from the hands of the man who has wanted to kill her. Police at the kimbadu Police Station are said to be investigating the said matter.
