Over sixteen thousand patients have been treated in eleven districts by the Mobile Clinic launched by his Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio.
The mobile clinic is currently in Magubura, Tonkolili District where it is expected to take four days having three buses and six doctors to provide free quality medical assistance for the people.
The Medical Superintendent of the Mobile Clinic, Yeabu Kargbo informed this medium that they decided to spend more days in Tonkolili as compared to other districts in the South and East because of the high number of patients showing up for treatment.
She said ulcer and high blood pressure are more prevalent among the aged whilst the children were mainly treated for cold and malaria. She noted that they extended the time to ensure that no one is left out as they go round the country providing free quality treatment for the people of Sierra Leone.
She said the buses are well equipped with fully automated machines to conduct blood and urine tests within 15 minutes.
The Mobile Clinic team is expected to reach Makeni after Magubura on Saturday Christmas Eve.
