Wife Allegedly Stabs Husband to Death, Appears in Court

Isata Bindi appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah on Thursday, July 3, 2025, facing charges of manslaughter for allegedly stabbing her husband to death.

According to the charge sheet, Bindi is accused of unlawfully killing Mustapha Bangura on April 2, 2025, at Aberdeen Road in Freetown.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.

During the proceedings, Prosecutor ASP Ibrahim S. Mansaray informed the court that the exhibit clerk, who was expected to testify and tender the knife used in the alleged crime, was unavailable due to another official assignment.

The accused was remanded to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown, and the matter was adjourned to July 10, 2025, for continuation.
