The Western Area Urban Football Association Convened a successful meeting on 24th January 2024 at their Secretariat on Pademba Road.
Sir Abdul Rahman Davies ably chaired the meeting, where crucial matters relating to the upcoming Competition were addressed.
The opening Ceremony for the forthcoming Competition is scheduled for Saturday 27th January 2024 at the Trade Center and KT field respectively as two matches will play on that very day .
The rules and regulations of the competition were read and interpreted for participants to be conversant and adhere to it. Teams have got themselves prepared to participate in the enticing campaign as the fixture will soon be released.
The attendees expressed their satisfaction with the informative and productive meeting, vowing to abide by the tournament’s rules and regulations.
Notable attendees including the Chairman for Coaches in Sierra Leone Abu Sankoh , Osman Kamara General Secretary of the Association and Salim Kpokuwa who is the Vice Chairman and also doubles as the Team Manager of the National U -17 graced the meeting.
According to Osman Alimamy Kamara the scribe of the Western Area Urban District Football Association said there have successfully registrared (28) U-14 teams and (16) U-12 team for the forthcoming Competition as the teams have been given the necessary documents to complete their details ahead of the Regional competitions.
He confirmed that, all the teams have gone through their Arbitration Process for the Regional competitions noting that they want to get it right as this is the first stage.
