The West Area Rural District Football Association has on 2nd September conducted training for 32 referees from across the Western Area Rural District and have recently graduated from a referee training course that was facilitated by the Western Area Rural District Football Association (WARDFA).
The course, which saw them through professional refereeing programs, ended on the 31st of August 2023, and it’s meant to up the game of refereeing in the rural district.
The training was conducted by the former district chairman of the Western Area Rural District Football, Chairman Mohamed Bello Yillah. And it received both his support and that of his successor, Chairman Kebbe Sesay to make it a success.
The training was well attended by dignitaries and professionals including military officers, the manager of referees in Sierra Leone, Mr. Alhaji A. F. Marrah, the Referee instructor Western Area, Mr. Alhaji Senesie Rashid, the executive of the Western Area Rural District Referees’ Association, the Secretary General of WARDFA Mohamed S. Kamara, and the substantive chairman of the Western Urban Football.
