Regional Chairman for the Republic National Independent Party (ReNIP) Hassan Kamara has assured youths in the region that the victory of their party on Saturday’s polls will lead to the emancipation of vulnerable members of the public, including women, children, the youths and physically challenged persons not only in the region but the country at large.
He said the party has been having supporters from all corners of the region due to its stance on issues affecting citizens. He said with the victory of ReNIP, the economy will be fixed quickly and citizens will start to enjoy fully due to sound policies and reforms that they will be put in place for the next five years.
He maintained that his party was quick to garner a tremendously large support – base in perceived strongholds of old political parties, noting that their members are committed to seeing their party succeed and change the political dynamics for the good of the country.
Salamatu Kallon, a resident at Mattru Road in Bo told us that what motivates her to tell her husband to join the party is the increment of the minimum wage from six hundred thousand Leones to an encouraging amount of one million five hundred thousand old Leones which she said can manage them at home. She said things are tough in the markets due to sky-rocketing prices and a lack of price control in the country.
She noted that the party’s manifesto speaks to the issues affecting the people.
Abdul Karim Kamara, a secondary school teacher said the manifesto is too ambitious noting that if fully implemented, it can put Sierra Leone on the list of developed countries in Africa.
