Bo Rangers needs three points to retain the Sierra Leone Premier League title as they welcome Wusum Stars on the 22nd of June 2023 at the Southern Arena Complex in Bo.

Bo Rangers are currently on 69 points with second-placed FC Kallon on 56 with five games to go. The Elephant Boys will be the fifth team in the Sierra Leone Premier League history to win the league back-to-back – Mighty Blackpool in 1978, and 1979, Real Republicans in 1983 and 1984, Diamond Stars 2012 and 2013.

East End Lions remain the only team to have won the league three in a row -1992, 1993 and 1994. Speaking to this medium, the Team Manager of Bo Rangers Abu Bakarr Bangura said it`s too early to celebrate. “The only impact I believe is the fact everyone knows that if we beat Wusum Stars it is over and this is the best way to compete.”

He said he believes his team can go the entire season unbeaten after their best-ever Premier starts.

“It’s not impossible to go through the season unbeaten and I can’t see why it’s shocking to say that,” he said. “It’s not healthy to be negative. “I always knew we had the potential but these boys are legends.

He, however, heaps praises on the chairman Babadi Kamara, the Bo Rangers executive and fans for believing in the team.

“The chairman Babadi Kamara is the backbone towards these successes and we want to continue enjoying this success come next despite we are expecting a tough battle against the big guns namely East End Lions, Mighty Blackpool and FC Kallon.”
