The Western Area Football Association (WAFA) has on the 5th January 2021 commenced a weeklong Refresher’s Training course for coaches and administrative Secretaries.
The training is intended to empower the coaches and the administrative Secretaries ahead of the divisions one, two and the under 15 competitions. All training sessions are expected to be completed on 8th January 2021.
According to David Turner, head of media “all the coaches and administrative Secretaries will at the end of the training go through the process of grading and awarded certificates of merit.”
A total of 60 coaches and 20 administrative Secretaries are currently benefiting from this weeklong training course.
Speaking to A-Z sports some of the coaches said they are happy for the Refresher’s coaching course as they hope to use the knowledge gained in strengthening their respective clubs.
