VP Juldeh Jalloh Meets Embassy Staff in Liberia

The Honorable Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has on Saturday, 23rd October 2021, met with the Sierra Leone community and staff of the Sierra Leone Embassy respectively in Monrovia, Liberia.

Speaking in the conference room of the embassy, the Vice President said he was impressed with the warm welcome given to him and his delegation.

He described the Liberia visit as top of the trips he has made so far to other countries.

Addressing Sierra Leoneans resident in Monrovia, Dr. Juldeh Jalloh thanked them for their massive turnout to receive him, saying in the near future President Julius Maada Bio too will visit Liberia.

Responding to issues of security and immigration raised by the Sierra Leone community, VP Juldeh disclosed that plans were underway to deploy Sierra Leone Police personnel at the country’s embassies in Liberia and Guinea to handle all security related issues concerning Sierra Leonean immigrants.

He assured staff of the Embassy of President Bio’s commitment to supporting pilgrims to Hajj through the embassy, scholarships for students and micro credit for women, among others.

He highlighted the numerous gains made so far by government in the areas of education, healthcare, youth empowerment, agriculture and support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Dr. Juldeh Jalloh expressed gratitude to the various Sierra Leonean support groups in the country and encouraged them to be supportive of developments brought by the New Direction government of President Bio.

Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Liberia, Eddie Sidikie Massallay and his staff had earlier raised various concerns ranging from staff welfare to salary disparity. The program climaxed with the presentation of gifts by the Sierra Leone community.
