VP Juldeh Jalloh Impresses With Progress Of National Stadium Rehabilitation Work

The Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh yesterday conducted a very strategic visit at the ongoing rehabilitation work at the national stadium to have firsthand information on the progress of the work.

Upon his arrival, Vice President Dr Mohamed Jalloh met with the National Volleyball team and rendered his appreciation to them for their continuous participation and for representing the country on so many occasions. VP Jalloh furthers that over the five years ‘government has been working tirelessly to make sure that they support all forms of sport in the country and this has been evident through the participation of the national team in so many competitions across the world and in so many sporting disciplines like tennis, cricket, volleyball etc.

In his address to the volleyball team, Vice President asserts that volleyball as a sporting discipline has been left out for some time but he also promised that he supports and take volleyball as a game that will be recognized in Sierra Leone. He also made mention of past legends that played volleyball like the late Robert Bull that everybody admired and commits to spot talents and make them to be recognized like in the past.

Furthermore, Dr Jalloh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to boost sport in the country and not only for the male but also to involve female representation in every sporting discipline as that is the trend all over the world.

Meanwhile, Vice President Jalloh made a thorough walk through out the stadium during the inspection and appreciated all the workers for their dedication and commitment to ensure that the work is successful, Dr Juldeh also promised to provide immediate solutions to the constraints of the rehabilitation management by bringing in the Minister of sports to a meeting with all those involved in order to identify whatever problems that they might be encountering and provide solutions to them.

At the helm of this visit notable figures accompanied the Vice President, like the Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education, Keketoma Sandy, the Director of Sports in Sierra Leone, Mr. Haroun Korjie, the press and other notable personalities were present during this visit and each of them tendered their appreciation for the work being done so far.

Conclusively, Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh exchanged pleasantries with all of the workers and ensures the government’s commitment to continuing supporting the rehabilitation project that will yield better fruits in a very short period of time.
