“When I heard about this ugly situation in my country, I was shocked. I felt very bad about this because I am used to watching matches at our Stadium here in Sierra Leone. This is not sending a good signal to us a Nation. This will even make our players to feel like they are not important to the country that they always serve.”
With the current situation, I am blaming the Government of Sierra Leone to a large extent, because the Government should be in position to make sure these issues are not coming up; if you put someone in a position of trust, we expect that person to perform.
“I am blaming the Minister of Sports in all of these and that he should be sacked with immediate effect.”

“Our current situation should not be a one man business. Sierra Leoneans should come together to salvage the situation as one people.”
For me, I strongly believe that the blame should be put on the stadium management because they are in charge of the day-to-day management of the stadium. The game between Nigeria and Sierra Leone sparked some social media comments about the low standards of the Sierra Leone pitch and that of the environment of the stadium. With that, the management body should have communicated this formally to the Government of Sierra Leone to take make amends.

“My blame is going straight to the Government of Sierra Leone. Because the stadium is the house for almost all activities in Sierra Leone and they are not doing anything about that.”
“I am worried about the Benin game that is not going to be played in Sierra Leone. It is definitely going to lose the national flavour. And support for Leone Stars will go down. When the management wants to stop people that are coming to use the stadium with all activities, they will use the word order from above and this is also the problem of this of our stadium. This practice is destroying our beautiful stadium and the ban is an eye-opener. So, let us fix and bring back international games to the land.”
