Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has shown his unwavering support for homegrown products by attending the Made in Sierra Leone Exhibition on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Bintumani Conference Center in Freetown.

Rather than merely touring the booths, the Vice President personally bought items from local entrepreneurs, underscoring his commitment to the “Produce Salone, Buy Salone” campaign, which encourages citizens to support locally made goods.

The atmosphere was vibrant and energetic as VP Juldeh Jalloh moved through the exhibition hall, engaging with small business owners, listening to their stories, and appreciating their creativity. His genuine interest reflected a leader who values hard work, innovation, and the aspirations behind every locally made product.

In addition to visiting various booths, the Vice President patronized several farmers and producers, purchasing a wide range of homegrown items to show his confidence in Sierra Leone’s agriculture and manufacturing sectors.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the event came when he bought a tray of locally produced eggs from a smiling vendor, a simple yet powerful gesture that demonstrated leadership in action. He also purchased natural skincare products from a female entrepreneur, taking time to examine the packaging with interest and appreciation.

Speaking at the event earlier in the day, Dr. Juldeh Jalloh encouraged Sierra Leoneans to take pride in locally made goods and view every purchase as an investment in the country’s growth.

“When we buy what we produce, we create jobs, strengthen our economy, and build confidence in our own people,” he said.

For many exhibitors, the Vice President’s personal patronage meant more than just a sale it was a gesture of recognition and hope. His presence served as a reminder that building Sierra Leone’s future begins with believing in and supporting what is proudly made in the country.
