Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh made a significant visit to the Peace Museum, managed by the Residual Special Court of Sierra Leone (RSCSL) on October 29th 2024,
The museum, dedicated to memorializing the impacts of the country’s devastating civil war, serves as a vital resource for understanding Sierra Leone’s journey toward peace, justice, and national cohesion.
During his visit, Dr. Jalloh emphasized the museum’s role as a reminder of the past and a symbol of hope for future generations. “The Peace Museum not only recounts the harrowing experiences of our civil war but also showcases the successful efforts made towards reconciliation and unity,” he stated. “We must continue to engage with our history to foster a more peaceful society.”
The museum’s exhibits highlight the complexities of the civil conflict, the struggles of those affected, and the initiatives implemented to build a more cohesive nation.
Dr. Jalloh also commended the RSCSL team for their dedication and hard work in maintaining this important institution. “The government remains committed to supporting the efforts of the RSCSL,” he reaffirmed.
