Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, took to Facebook on Saturday, November 8, 2025, to praise Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Chairman Babadi Kamara for his continued efforts to advance football in the country.

VP Juldeh Jalloh commended the SLFA leadership for its dedication to fostering a stronger football culture that empowers both male and female athletes across Sierra Leone.

In particular, the Vice President highlighted the recent $150,000 donation from Marampa Mines Limited (MML) to the Women’s Premier League, describing it as a significant boost for women’s football in Sierra Leone. MML, which operates in the exploration, development, and production of high-grade iron ore concentrate, is based in Marampa, Port Loko District, in the North-Western Region.

He emphasized that such an investment reflects growing confidence in Sierra Leone’s sports sector and the country’s potential to nurture talent at all levels.

VP Juldeh Jalloh also extended his appreciation to Craig Dean, Executive Chairman and CEO of Gerald Group, the parent company of Marampa Mines, and to Hon. Mariatu Rachel Sesay-Pessima, Chairperson of the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League Board, for their collaborative efforts in promoting gender equality and sports development in the country. The Vice President reiterated his government’s commitment to creating opportunities that will elevate Sierra Leonean football both locally and internationally.
